Dr Anindita Roy is a renewable energy technologist, currently an associate professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE), Pune. She is a doctorate from Department of Energy Science & Engineering at IIT Bombay and a masters in Energy Management from DAVV, Indore. Her research interests are indigenization of small wind turbines, modeling and simulation of hybrid renewable Energy Systems, thermocline-based energy storage, O&M of lead acid battery-based systems, and fast charging solutions for electrical vehicles. In her PhD, she worked on the optimal design of Isolated Wind-battery Power Systems. She has authored a Book with Springer Nature on ‘’Wind Power Based Isolated Energy Systems’’. She was instrumental in setting up the “Battery and Solar Energy laboratory “at PCCoE which offers training, testing and consultancy services in Collaboration with Customized Energy Solutions (CES). She is a LIFE member of SESI, Institution of Engineers India (IEI) and member of Indian Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE). She is a reviewer for reputed journals Energy for Sustainable Development, Clean Technology & Energy Policy, Neural Computing and Applications and Journal of Cleaner Production. She was Selected for SAARC Internship to University of Tokyo, and “Indo-Scottish exchange program for research scholars in Wind Energy” by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to UK. She along with her student team won the Abhinavi Women Entrepreneur Award in KPIT Sparkle 2022 for developing a ‘’Liquid immersion cooled battery pack’’. In her present association with Venus Energy & Consultants Pvt. Ltd., she is looking after all the aspects related to the renewables and energy storage that includes technical and management consulting ; designing of solar, wind and hybrid plants; capacity building / training programs on the latest available technologies as well as software based power system studies.
