Dr Deepa Sharma is having more than 10 years of professional experience at different levels in the prestigious organizations working in the area of Research & development, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Education and Environment. She is a doctorate from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun. In her PhD, she worked on in- vitro techniques for the multiplication of economically important species Bambusa balcooa and Gymnema sylvestre and developed the plant tissue culture protocol for development of these species. She has successfully managed & maintained the commercial laboratory, execution & planning experiments, monitoring, recording, analyzing & evaluation of test results as well as preparation of reports. She was selected and proud recipient of scholarship for WOS-C scheme of Department of Science and Technology, GOI. She has also worked in Hydroponics and Greenhouse technology that belongs to the agriculture & horticulture sector. She is having very diversified & enriching experience with well conversant with all the latest available technologies pertaining to the agriculture sector. Her other interests includes regulatory affairs /policy advocacy; legal framework and varied technological advancements / interventions. She loves extensive travelling; values integrity as well as meeting different people having diverse cultural backgrounds. She considers herself to be as nature lover & likes to contribute for the upliftment of the underprivileged people of the society i.e. nation building. During her leisure time, she likes to read, spending quality time with family members and also working in the kitchen duly exploring different delicacies.
